General Description
Model G screw pump, also named progressive cavity pump, is a type of positive displacement pump which use one screw to move liquids along the screw axis. The single screw(rotor) rotates in the cylindrical cavity, thereby moving the material along the screw’s spindle. Compared with centrifugal pumps, screw pumps have several advantages. The pumped liquid is moving axially without turbulence which eliminates foaming that would otherwise occur in viscous liquids. They are also able to pump liquids of higher viscosity without losing flow rate.
Applications
Model G pump is used to transfer high-viscosity liquids, liquids with hard abrasive impurities or solid particles, and liquids with gas or liquids with bubble. It is widely used in oil, chemical, food, paper making, metallurgy, pharmacy and mining industries.
